Goats and cute store fronts go perfect together don't they?

My life has been crazy busy this past year! We moved the store to Main Street in Bountiful last August and I am loving my new location. I really do think I have the cutest store front in town!  The best part about my new location is that it is the perfect picture spot!  I get so many people taking their pictures in front of our store and it just puts a smile on my face :)

Before my cute storefront existed, back in the fall of 2011, a friend of mine who is a photographer said she wanted to do these downtown chic pictures of Matt and I all dressed up walking our goats along Main Street.  Since Matt and I love to take pictures with our goats, of course we were all over it.  We got some great pictures out of it and also some really weird looks.  It's weird enough to see someone walking their goats down the street let alone someone dressed up all fancy walking their goats.

The picture above of the goats tied to the posts was taken right outside of our store, however, at the time there was only a vacant lot there.  So, when Matt and I took our Christmas pictures for 2012, we just had to bring the goats back to Main Street and take a new picture with them this time right in front of our store!

So if you are looking for a quaint and colorful place to take pictures you should come to my store!  We are at 122 S Main in Bountiful.  My lovely store front and cute little bench has been the back drop for brides and grooms, graduation pictures, missionary pictures and family pictures!  I don't want to brag, but it is pretty cute!

I am going to try to be better at blogging and try to update at least once per month.  It is pathetic that it has been a year since I last blogged.  My life has just been crazy, but I will try to find time to update how crazy it is! :)

St. George Marathon 2011- My 7th marathon

In 2011, I completed my 7th St. George Marathon.  I am also happy to announce that I made the lottery for the 2012 marathon and will complete my 8th St. George Marathon in October.  I really want to make the 10 year club, which means that I get automatic entry every year into the St. George marathon for the rest of my life! :)

And to think my love of running was inspired completely by Oprah.  She ran a marathon with a time of 4:29 and I thought "If Oprah can do it, I can do it!".

So, thanks Oprah for inspiring me:)

Mile 6- The sun is just starting to rise

Mile 7 - Right before hell (I mean hill) I call Veyo

Mile 24 - Pose for a quick picture:)

I've said it before and I will say it again.  Running a marathon is one of the most amazing, emotional and thrilling things I have ever accomplished.  It has given me a whole different perspective on life.  It has helped me to get through difficult things much easier.  When I encounter something hard in life, I compare it to the difficulty I have faced while running  26.2 miles and it makes things easier to handle.  I can't complain about running 6 miles in the morning and how hard it is, when I have had to push myself to run 26.2 miles.  It makes the harder things in life actually seem easier.  There is something to be said about pushing yourself beyond your mental and physical capabilities.  When you push yourself that hard, you realize what you are made of, how much you can really take and and that you have the ability to conquer the things that seemed impossible.  Completing a marathon is an indescribable feeling and I wish that everyone else could experience how amazing it really is.

Halloween 2011

Halloween party at my mom's house.  I forced my friend Kyra to tag along with me:)

I had my annual Halloween party with my dance friends. It was a good time. I decided that I wanted to make Duke and Daisy costumes this year, so Duke was "The Duke" John Wayne and Daisy was a daisy.

Matt has become obssessed with the show Swamp People and decided that was what we wanted to go as for Halloween.

It's been a while

Wow!  It's been a while since I last posted!  Needless to say I have been busy!  Matt and I are in the process of moving the store to a new location, which is on Main Street in Bountiful.  We temporarily closed the Woods Cross store to get the new store ready.  We are hoping to open the beginning of July.
My next few blog posts will be nothing but catching up on our lives in the last year.
